Remember – You’re My Sister!

Plot

Rose Carlton was adopted at the age of four and has a comfortable life with her adopted parents. But Rose wishes she could find her sister, who had gone with relatives when the natural parents died and they could not take Rose as well. When sneaky Iris Smith finds out, she pretends to be that lost sister to take advantage of Rose and the good life she has.

Bonny and Belinda

Plot

Twins Bonny and Belinda live in a Victorian Orphanage. The wealthy Langleys adopt Bonny because they like her spirited nature but leave Belinda because she is shy. Bonny and Belinda will not be parted, so Bonny smuggles Belinda into the house, where Belinda can pretend to be Bonny at times and enjoy the Langley luxuries.

Secret Star!

Plot

When rising pop star Jeff Collins loses his voice, he owes his agent Mr Winter a lot of money. Mr Winter wants his money back and insists Jeff perform despite his illness. Jeff’s twin sister Jodie takes his place in secret. When Jodie finds out what an unpleasant man Mr Winter is, she decides to investigate his dealings with Jeff.

Plot

Karen Walton thinks her dad is pretty dull in comparison to the trendy dads that some of her school friends have. So when her friends mistake Dave Drummond, the Walton’s dashing next-door neighbour, for her father, she does not correct them and starts pretending Mr Drummond is her father.

No Joy for Jenny / “Is Bob My Brother?”

Plot:

Jenny Selby (Ruth in the reprint) is overjoyed when her brother John (Bob in the reprint) returns after being considered lost on a climbing expedition in the Himalayas. Then she begins to suspect the man is an impostor who is after the money John/Bob is set to inherit on his 21st birthday. When her suspicions become apparent, the man sends her away to boarding school. Jenny/Ruth returns secretly and, with the help of her dog Dirk, finds a sick man in a dingy room whom she is sure is her real brother. But the man does not claim to be John/Bob or recognise Jenny/Ruth.

Plot

When young star Linda Lynn became ill, a look-alike was found to attend Linda’s engagements so that Linda’s high earnings would not be lost. Linda’s manager, Amy Meecher, swore look-alike Glenda Garrod to secrecy and promised she would be well paid. The real Linda was at a secret nursing home.  Glenda wasn’t going to give up her new life easily.

The Riddle of the Lost Heiress

Plot

Joe and Bertha Castin, caretakers of Kenwood Hall, take Evvy Collins from a fairground and start training her up to impersonate Lady Evelyn, who mysteriously disappeared seven years ago at the age of five, so they can claim the Kenwood fortune. But the deception is not going well, and things get even more tangled when Evvy begins to find clues as to her real identity.
