Fiona Must Not Fail

Plot

Fiona Phillips’ grandfather is seriously injured when a fire breaks out in his studio. The fire also destroys some precious paintings of rare flowers. Fiona sets out to help replace the artwork by travelling the country to look for 10 of the rarest plants to draw from real  life.

Supercats

Plot

Regular feature with Supercats, a team of super heroines and their outer space adventures. The members are:

Helen Miller – captain of the Supercats. The brains of the team and the only one with no superpowers.

Electra – generates electricity.

Hercula – super-strong.

Fauna – changes body colour.

In The Planet of the Children – the Supercats investigate why the planet Zyros has ceased contact. They find  Zyros has been invaded by the Tarkus, who force the adults to work in Zyros’s gold mines while keeping the children brainwashed.

Girl Friday

Plot:

A shipwecked girl reached an island where a group of boys were on a survival course. They named her Girl Friday, thinking they now had a servant. Friday had other ideas, however. girl friday

Slaves to the Moonstone

Plot

Schoolgirls Jill Dentry and Sandra  Grey had time-travelled back to Victorian times by means of a moonstone ring belonging to Merlin, magician at King Arthur’s court. Merlin needed them to bring back something called the ‘ Black Dolphin of the Sun’ to help break the spell which held him trapped in the 20th century. The girls ended up in a sinister school run by Mrs Hogg and a brutal-looking porter called Thresh.

The Survivors

Plot:

As a result of the Earth passing through the tail of Valdor’s comet, a tidal wave sank a school cruise ship. Only twelve youngsters survived and they drifted in a life boat to an island where all the inhabitants had mysteriously died. When the town had become too unhealthy to live in, the survivors built two huts in the country.  The Survivors began to realise they could be the only people left alive in the world.

Join the Rott Race

Plot:

Daisy and Maisie Wheeler were competing in a pedal-powered race from London to Peking sponsored by Lord Tommy Rott in 1908. While climbing the hazardous peaks of the Himalaya Mountains, they are cursed by a local.

The Desert Kid

Plot:

The Desert Kid, a mysterious girl who lived alone in the Arizona Desert, had rescued a wounded teacher, Miss Cathy, and saved her life. Miss Cathy had discovered that the local sheriff was the leader of the Black Hood Gang, who were terrorising the district. But the crooked sheriff, Clint Bodey, had convinced the townspeople that Miss Cathy was a Black Hood spy! The Kid was now taking Miss Cathy to friends in Nevada in exchange for the teacher’s help in giving her the start of her education.

Viking Gold

Plot:

Professor Mary Frost, Judy Newcome and her friend, Ann, have discovered a sunken Viking ship. But when they bring up gold treasure, crooks trap them and steal it. Ann tries to help, but the crooks pretend she has escaped from a mental home and kidnap her from under the very noses of the local police.

Treasure of the Tiger

Plot:

Professor Kaplan is asked by the Government  of Corococo, a small, independent Indian state in South America, to try to locate the Treasure of the Tiger. The “Tiger” was a chief of the Corococans who robbed the invading Spanish conquistadors of much treasure. John Short leads the expedition and he takes with him his daughter, Tina, and son, Bill. John Short’s assistant, Andrew Roth, also goes on the journey. The adventurers meet up with a hostile Indian tribe and the bearers and guides run away. But when one of the tribe falls in a fast-flowing river, Tina and Bill go at once to his rescue.
