Four Tasks for Tiny Tessa

Plot:

Tessa Teesdale, is shrunk to doll-size by Dr Paulus to retrieve the four sacred rubies of Vilvenia. One problem she runs into is when she is  mistaken by a night-owl for a mouse as she is trying to deliver the second of the jewels. The owl carries Tessa high into the belfry of a church.

The Golden Queen

Plot:

Patsy and Kathleen Brown, seeking a  fabulous treasure in a sacred lake in the Andes Mountains, were helped by the spirit of the Aztec Queen, Acora. Having managed to escape from a ruthless gang, also after the treasure, Kathleen returned to the camp to find it wrecked and her sister gone.

The Promise Pandora Made / Pandora’s Secret Pledge

Plot

When her mother died, young Princess Pandora promised to help the poor and the needy people of her kingdom. In the sequel, “Pandora’s Secret Pledge”, Princess Pandora disguises herself as a boy to search for the Golden Stallion, the finest horse in the kingdom. She finds the stallion and bonds with it. Then, when her father goes on crusade, she and the stallion have to honour the ancient custom of completing the dangerous ride of the Three Peaks or lose the throne. But the king’s enemies are out to stop her completing the task.

In Fear of Fire Mountain

Plot:

Trudy, Pru, Jo, Mel and their injured teacher Miss Martin end up on a Pacific island after their yacht is wrecked. Unfortunately a volcano is due to erupt, and then it does. Their only hope is the last remaining islander, Sam, who has not evacuated, and his submarine. But Sam gets knocked out at the critical moment of evacuation!

Trader Tess

Plot:

A Place for Homing

Plot:

In the 1880’s, half-Indian orphan Nan Scott had embarked on a long, dangerous journey to the Canadian border in search of a place where she and her animal friends would really belong. When Nan reached the town of Morton’s Creek, she found it had a problem—no creek.

Janet and Her Travellin’ Javelin

Plot:

Janet Malcolm is a natural javelin thrower and her talent is spotted. But Janet’s severe grandfather does not approve of her pursuing athletics because he believes a girl’s place is in the home. When it gets to the point where the grandfather threatens to throw Janet out, she leaves home to travel to White City to compete.

Hedda of Hosannah Valley

Plot:

Amos Calthorp and his party of pilgrims had reached the sheltered vale in America which he named “Hosannah Valley”.  America was still a British Colony and the settlers were given grants of land where they immediately set about building houses. Hedda Bronsby’s father, Daniel, was in demand, being a skilled carpenter.
