Josie’s Pal

Plot:

Josie Todd, an unpopular girl, had a rough time living with her aunt and uncle. She was training her uncle’s horse,  so that he could be sold to a good home. Though Uncle was interested only in a fat profit. Mrs Weston from the local riding school had been helping Josie with her jumping, but Uncle was becoming more of a bully.

A New Home for Harvey / Harvey – Go Home!

Plot:

The adventures of a dog named Harvey. In the first story, A New Home for Harvey, after being abandoned, Harvey finds a new home with Pat and her family but then they have to move to an apartment complex that doesn’t allow pets. The family try and find a new home but Harvey is determined to stay with Pat.

In Here’s Harvey, Harvey  is trying to help Pat find her sister, Sara, a boyfriend, though it is proving more difficult than they thought.

In A Holiday for Harvey, him and Pat go to work at Sandhill Holiday Camp and Lucy the owner’s grandchild gets quite attached to Harvey.

In Harvey’s Hotel – Harvey and his owner Pat are helping Pat’s sister, Sara, and her husband, Greg, at the hotel they run.

In Harvey – Go Home!, Harvey is dognapped, he escapes but needs to find his way home to Pat. He gets in many adventures on the way.

Liz of Little Barton / Microgirl

Plot

When people mysteriously left the village of Barton, Liz James discovered that they had actually been shrunk to a few inches high and kept prisoner in a model of Barton Village by the sinister Professor Raikes. Liz rescued her friend Ann Carter and they had to decided to keep the truth about Little Barton a secret until they found away to bring all the prisoners back to their proper size.

A sequel, Microgirl appeared in Judy & Tracy where Professor Raikes returns and shrinks Liz and her parents. Liz manages to escape the mobile laboratory where Raikes is keeping them prisoner.

Little Amy [1985]

Plot

Amy Miller is thirteen, but small for her age. When photographer Don Dawson mistakes Amy for an eight-year-old, her unscrupulous Aunt Pearl forces her to keep up the deception in order to work as a model. Aunt Pearl even goes as far as to keep Amy underfed in order to stunt her growth and keep her in the primers at school.

  • Before the Tracy comic merged with Judy, the first part of the “Little Amy”  story was published in both the last issue of Tracy and the Judy issue #1305. After the merger the story continued in Judy & Tracy #1306.

Hard-Hearted Harriet

Plot

In Victorian times, Harriet Bond discovers she is living on borrowed time with an incurable illness. She devotes her remaining time to finding good homes for her brothers and sisters. To make them want to leave her, she pretends to turn hard hearted and unloving.
