Tin Lizzie

Plot

Widowed Mrs Harmon had a hard time running a holiday hotel with no help from her spoilt children. Tessa, Mike and Maisie. Then Mrs Harmon left saying she was going to look after a friend that was ill. Leaving the hotel to children to run. Unable to cope the children eagerly awaited the help that their uncle an electronics expert said he would send. When Lizzie arrived she turned out to be a robot who was programmed to do any household task.

The Fight Against the Odds

Plot

Young Suzy Parker champion all-round athlete, is kidnapped and taken to the island of Calabay, in the Indian Ocean. There she finds that Professor Gilbraith, a millionaire scientist, has produced a group of androids—robots in human form—which he calls the Odds. With them he hopes to prove he can beat the best of the world’s girl athletes, all of whom have also been taken to the island. Then the Professor brings his Odds and the girl athletes to Wembley Stadium, where the great contest begins. Suzy, knowing the others will have to give of their very best to win, has needled them by pretending to be terribly big-headed. This makes the girls vow to beat her, and Suzy knows that if she can force them to excel themselves in doing so, they will beat the Odds as well.

Here Comes the Bogey Ma’am

Plot

When her parents went abroad, Cathie Dawson was sent to stay with her grandmother, in the village of Brackton. The local girls were a rough lot who had driven away several teachers but when a new teacher arrived they were unable to deal with her because the new teacher was a robot! Cathie discovered that Di Stewart, the young mechanic who looked after the robot, was really the teacher who controlled the robot, and, because she was a ventriloquist, she made it appear to speak.

Meg and the Magic Robot

Plot

In 1925, Syd and Maud Weston force their niece Meg to fake being a Magic Robot. Meg goes along with the fraud because she thinks her uncle is sending money to pay for her brother Tommy’s treatment at a clinic in Switzerland. But the truth is that Uncle Syd is pocketing the money and Tommy is in the care of an old woman in the vicinity.
